  • Open Google chrome, and on the top right corner of the window, you can see the three dots.
  • Click on the three dots icon, and you can see a list of options like Downloads, Bookmarks in a drop-down menu, among those select settings.
  • In the settings page, click on Advanced settings that are on the bottom-center of your screen.
  • Under Advanced settings, select site settings, the last but one option, above clear browsing data.
  • In site settings, click on Pop-ups and redirects. Click on the arrow symbol , you can see in the right corner you can see if it is allowed or blocked.
  • If it is turned on/ allowed there, it allows the pop-ups on your chrome browser. If you don’t want pop-ups, then you can turn it off. You can turn this off for certain websites.   • While adding the website links, turn off the toggle. This will turn on your pop-up blocker.

If you use chrome in your iOS device, then you can allow the pop-ups. Here is how you can do that.

  • Open the Chrome app on your device or download it from the app store and sign in to your account.
  • Click on the three dots icon ( menu) on the right bottom corner of the screen. You can see the menu here with many options like history bookmarks etc.
  • Select the settings option on the end of the list and the unders setting select content settings.
  • You can see three options available and choose the top one, which says Block pop-ups, and click on that.
  • If the toggle is green in color, it means that it is turned on. It turns gray if you turn it off.
  • Check if it is on or off. If you want to allow pop-ups, tap on it to turn it on or leave it as turned off.

The process in Android is similar to that of the iPhone. Follow the simple steps below to disable or enable pop-ups in your Android device.

  • If you have a chrome app open it, or you can also download it from the google play store. 
  • Open the app, and on the top right corner of the screen, you can see the three dots icon, which is the chrome menu, click on that to open a dropdown menu.
  • You can see many options in the drop-down, click on the Settings option, and this will redirect you to the settings page.
  • You can see options like privacy, accessibility. Below that, you can see an option called site settings. Under site setting, select Pop-ups and redirects and click on it.
  • Now, as I mentioned for the iPhone, it’s the same procedure for Android. Check if the toggle is turned on or off. If you turn it on, the pop-ups will be allowed/enabled. If it is off, the pop-ups will be blocked.
  • If the toggle is green in color, it means that it is turned on. It turns gray if you turn it off.
